the fun games pregnancy likes to play!

after spending the majority of my day in the bathroom, becomming bestest buddies with my toilet!!, i cooked. so weird. all i wanted to to was bake. i couldn't keep anything down all day, but the thought of shortbread and fudge squares sounded so good...and i didn't care if they came back up. my in-laws are hosting an afs student, the foreign exchange program here. this weekend the afs kids are going on a camping trip. i thought it would be nice if they took some cookies along for the ride, because you cannot go camping without some homemade goodies to munch on. so, i made 2 batches of cookies and fought every urge to lick the batter clean from the fudge square bowl. yea, i'm pretty proud of myself and am even more proud to say that the shortbread AND the fudge squares all stayed down! nice and healthy, i know. tonight, i made breakfast for dinner...again! we have had breakfast for dinner 3 nights already this week. something about bacon, homemade home fries, waffles with strawberry jam & sugar pancakes is just sounding so great at 6pm. (the first night was pancakes, the 2nd was cheesy eggs and tonight was waffles...next up...french toast!) steven and i both agree that "real" breakfast tastes better for dinner. i knew i married him for a reason! hey, at least i am pulling my weight and making the man dinner!! happy to report, it all stayed down...even though i totally pigged out!! the morning sickness, aka all day all night barfy sickness, comes and goes. it seems to be the worst at night after about 9:30 and lasts all through the night. i try to nap during the day, but haven't been able to sleep, so i just lay and rest while watching some junk on tv. i still wear my power ranger bracelets b/c they do help will the nausea. but when it wants out, dude, it wants out! i totally had a conversation with myself, and the toilet, this morning though. it was pretty funny actually. i was barfing and laughing and sweating and crying all at the same time! haha! usually when you tell someone you threw up, they say, "oh, i'm sorry to hear that. i hope you feel better." well not for me. i get a high five and big CONGRATS! for 5 weeks i've wanted to just let it all go, and lately, i have...finally!! seriously, this is a fun game :) sorry if this is too much info for you. if it is...you're in for a treat, and may want to discontinue reading this blog. there are no secrets here!

I'm so glad you're giddy about barfing! That does mean there's baby in there! I can't say i've ever barfed, laughed, cried while sweating. . .

You are one of the funniest people I know! I think you should turn this prego adventure into a book! Your barf stories are so entertaining and you have such a good attitude about it all! See you soon!
