details

these pictures are from the technicians doctory view which is why it is so zoomed in. (see her head on the right and belly to the left...) you can see her eyes, the lens of the eyes, her brain, nose and her arm and elbow! i think she is going to be a chatty one with how much she was moving her mouth...cutest thing i have ever seen!
i wanted to share some of the details from last weeks baby appointment, because i just love talking about it!
it makes me laugh that you have to go into the sonogram with a full bladder. they give you a piece of paper that tells you to drink 20oz of water 1 hour before your appointment and NOT TO PEE before! this was hard for me since my bladder is the size of a grain of rice! luckily they are on time with these appointments...there was no waiting 25 minutes. i think they know they would have some angry pregnant women in their lobby if they made us wait too long to "leave our sample!"
so, in we go to the room...totally nervous and excited! the first question the technician lady asked was if we wanted to know the sex. YES!! we both shouted at the same time! the technician was so nice...and even had heated goo for my belly. the second she put the thingy on my belly we saw the baby! she started to do her doctory stuff first, and then realized she better tell us the sex. "looks like a little GIRL she said!" so fun!! we saw her little girly parts (it looks like 3 lines in case you were wondering.)
then came the coolest stuff ever. she zoomed in on every part of the babies body taking measurements. we saw the brain, all 4 cavities of the rapid beating heart, the kidneys, the spinal cord. the technician said, "looks like she has a full tummy." i replied that we had a peanut butter sandwich for lunch. "she liked it" the tecnhician said...it was pretty funny. we could see madison's mouth opening and closing, her arms moving back and forth. she was rolling all over the place. 1 minute we were looking at her face, the next we were staring at her cute little bum!
this experience was remarkable and i am totally fascinated with all of it. i love what is happening to my body, the good, the bad and the ugly. it's really fun to be pregnant once you start looking pregnant and not like you just have a nice big beer gut :) i am actually becoming very comfortable in my pregnant skin, and i love it! i am sure once i pig out during thanksgiving and christmas i will feel otherwise, but for now i am quite content with this pregnant bod.

Madison Jane will be as sweet as her Mom, good looking as her Dad, and named after her Grandma! What more could I ask for. We couldn't be happier!!! Love Mom

I love it!

We need another belly shot! I'm sure each week now she will be growing much faster.

I HATED the "have to drink the water and no potty ultrasounds". Did they let you go to the bathroom mid exam? Either NOT comfortable at all.

How are you holding up? Has the sickies gone away?
