Miss Madi Girl is 9 months!

this was a big month for her! here is some fun stuff about our bebe girl. *she is crawling, EVERYWHERE! she pulls the dvds off the shelf, tries to chase the weens around, opens the kitchen drawers, she is all over the place. LOVE IT! **she loves her food. all kinds. she has eaten every puree there is. loves 'em mixed with oatmeal. she also loves to snack on cherries, rasberries, cooked carrots, green beans, cheese, gerber puffs & melts and pieces of crackers. if i am eating a snack, she needs one too. we can no longer get away with eating in front of her without sharing. *she prefers the container things are in rather than the 'thing' itself. **remotes and cell phones are an automatic distraction. they could both keep her entertained forever. *she loves, LOVES her daddy time. (and i admit, i am a huge fan of daddy time too!) she lights up and gets all squirmy when he gets home from work. it's the cutest thing ever. **she is sleeping fabulously. usually up once a night for a hug and a kiss, then she is back to sleep. she usually is down by 8...and mommy and daddy are in bed no later than 9:30. fabulous. i love us. *she bathes in the big kid tub. so cute. she loves the fishy book that santa brought her to play with in the tub. water over the head is still a little much at times, but she doesn't freak out and she is learning to tip her head back, but she has so much dang hair that it takes several cupfuls to get it all the sudsy out. **she takes 2 naps a day. usually 10am and between 2 and 3. we have a pretty good routine to our day, which saves my life most of the time. *she is learning to sign. so far she can sign dog. it's really cute. we're working really hard on more. but she knows words well. when we say more, she knows what it means. she knows num nums...thats nursing...and when we put her in her high chair we say 'arms up please' so we can put on her tray. and she does it everytime. really, having a kid is a lot like training a dog. consistency is key. so glad we had some good practice. **she can give kisses. sometimes on demand, sometimes a little delayed, but it is the SWEETEST thing ever. *she would watch jack's big music show, on nick jr., all day if we'd let her. usually we let her watch after she has a bath so we can get her all dressed and such without any battles. when she hears the intro, her mouth goes wide open and she is just so excited. it is hilarious! it's the only show, other than baby signing time, that she will sit and watch. intently i might add. **she is such a good girl. easy to take anywhere. so far, she is very adaptable and does well when we go out to dinner or wherever. she will sit in a highchair for an hour and play with spoons. she's a pretty cheap date :) *some of her favorite toys are mommy's kitchen utensils. whisks, spatulas, mini spatulas, measuring spoons, melon ballers, you name it, she has played with it. **she has no teeth yet. *she has the BIGGEST personality. never a dull moment! she makes us laugh constantly! there's just a few things we are lovin' about our girl. the past 9 months have been AMAZING and really we wonder what we did before she came along. she is the best thing there is. madi girl, we love you so much! thanks for being such a fabulous little girl!
