when madi was 6 months old, her grandpa thomas did some cement work out on our front porch. (he is making us a beautiful front yard...we CANNOT WAIT for it to be done...) anyway, he asked if we'd like to put her hand print in the wet cement. HECK YES! well, you try to get a 6 month old to open her hand for ya, so you can lay it flat, in the cold, wet cement...good luck to you! we did her feet instead, which i think are much, much cuter!
so, her second set of footprints (2nd to the ones on the day she was born) are PERMANENT! fabulous if you ask us. she will make holes in the walls, stain the carpet, scratch the paint off the walls, dig holes in the yard, but truly, she has left her mark on this place forever. LOVE THAT!!!

she's left her mark

So great! What a special memory. I remember trying to get the girls' prints when they were little. SO hard. To get the ink on their hand and to the paper with a nice open hand is hard!!!
