best of madi! year ONE!

she's ONE! holy cow! i'll spare you the sappy post and just stick to the fun stuff. * her favorite food is currently pears. * she can sign the following words and she signed them in this order: dog, all done, more, milk, pear, car, sleep. she's loving it and so are we. * she has the best laugh. real and fake. hilarious! * she kisses EVERYTHING! all the time. * most mornings she wakes up and plays in her crib for a good 20+ minutes before we go in and get her. it's fun to listen to her talk to all her little friends that she sleeps with. when we do go in and get her she will usually hand us each of her friends one by one for us to kiss. this can be a long process! seriously...she is just dang sweet! * bath time is a huuuuge hit. loves the water, the bubbles and all her fun little bath toys. * she naps 2 or 3 times a day. awesome. awesome. * she loves to chase the dogs...and give them kisses. * she sings and dances. music is almost always playing at our house. * she doesn't like the grass. (but we just recently got grass...so we will see how it goes!) * jack's big music show is still a big hit. mom and dad think it's pretty good as far as kid shows go. * she likes drinking her water through a straw. her favorite sippy is a straw sippy. * she is LOVING her forward facing car seat. * she got mary poppins for her birthday from steven and i. she watched it when it was on tv and loved it. it has always been a favorite of mine...so, of course we added it to the collection! other current movie favorites include toy story and toy story 2, parts of the lion king and cars, and this is it (the michael jackson movie...she loves all the music. she will almost watch the whole thing.) * she has a lot of toys, but some of her favorites are still mommy's kitchen toys. emptying the tupperware drawer, playing with spatulas and any other kitchen toy mommy will let her play with, bowls (which she stacks according to size), cupcake tins, spoons. you name it, pretty much she has played with it. * she has only 2 little bottom teeth! haha! sooooo so cute. * she has several names. everyone calls her something a little different (this is what i have noticed the most...i wonder if these people even know): madison jane (grandma darlene), sweetie (grandma jane), missy (erica), madi pati (chris), madi girl, bebe, miss, miss madi, baby girl, sunshine (all mommy and daddy). * she is a happy, happy kid. even when she isn't, she is on the happier side of mad. she is our best little friend. she makes life SO FUN!

every day we are thankful for her. thankful to be her parents.
