i must brag for a minute

about steven. because he is great. he really is the greatest. i didn't do a father's day post, because i am lame. but this one is just for him.

this kid LOVES her dad. really, really loves him

why is he so great? well, he's great for about a million reasons. so, obviously i cannot write them all down for you. but trust me. the list is looooong. i will tell you one thing, and then you tell me you don't agree. on mondays, wednesdays and fridays he wakes early to go to the gym before work. he gets to the gym by 6:15 and has enough time to workout and get ready for work. on tuesdays and thursdays he wakes early and goes running on the beach. here's the kicker. instead of coming home to shower, he either goes to his parent's or to the gym. why does he do that you ask? because he is letting us sleep in! if he comes home to shower and get ready for work after his run madi will wake up by 7am. if he leaves early in the am, the house stays quiet. and this week we've been sleeping until 8:30am. HELLO. what a guy to sacrifice his morning shower and morning routine for the sake of his pregnant wife and daughter. by doing this early am workout business he is home before 5:15 every day. fabulous! it's so nice to have him home early. when madi wakes from her afternoon nap, she is ready for daddy to be home for sure. madi's room is being changed a little these days. we recently put a bookshelf in her room next to her crib. on there is a family picture of the 3 of us. well, when she woke up from her morning nap today she was pointing at the picture and saying and signing dada, dada. seriously, TEAR!!! she loves her daddy just as much as i do. we are lucky, lucky girls to have him in our lives! thanks, steven, for working so hard and for being the BEST daddy and hubby around. xOXo
