my mom, sister, madi and i just got back froma girl trip to utah. so fun! we jammed as much as we could into 4 days. madi is the BEST road tripper of all time. seriously, 12 hours in a car and hardly a whine. she is a stud this girl. while there we ate at our favorite places, went swimming, visited the greatest fabric store...3 times to find fabric for logan...cause i couldn't make up my mind (and we found the PERFECT stuff...) we had a girls brunch, madi was a little confused that the fake dogs weren't chasing her, but she kissed them anyway! we attended a bridal shower, we stayed up hours past bedtime, madi got to snuggle with BOTH of her great grandma's, we played games, we visited logan ave...where i lived for a while when i was tenny tiny (logan...it was just meant to be...) and overall we had a great time. madi was HILARIOUS and a cute as ever!
i wish these trips weren't so few and far between...maybe we will work on that. i wish family wasn't 12 hours away so we could go once a month. and so i have 1 wish and a request for those who do live so close. please go visit our grandparents. please don't wait for a shower or a wedding or big event to go and visit. it would make their day for you just to stop by for a quick hello. i wish i could just stop in for an oreo or a creamie and a hug and kiss.
no doubt, we are happy to be home and we're so, so happy to be back in our own beds to catch up on our sleep and see the boys we left behind. but i wish the trip was a couple of days longer.
