'it's great to stay up late, la, la, la...'

ok...it's only great to stay up late when it's on your own terms! madi has been having a rough time at bedtime lately. she naps like a champ during the day, taking her 2, 2 hr naps. when bedtime rolls around, 8 or 8:30, she is tired but will not go to sleep, no matter what! and really, i have no idea what's going on. this kid still only has 2 teeth, so she could be getting ready to bust out 8 new teeth for all we know! so, we snuggle and play and watch too many movies at night...it's been a little rough, but last night we were extra entertained as she showed off all the sign language she knows. we would say all the words we could think of that she knows and she'd sign them over and over. here's her sign language list at 15 months. apple cat dog bird tree leaf banana peach milk water baby shoes bath pear sleep play rain (it rained yesterday...yea, in july. and we didn't know she knew this sign!) food a made up sign for strawberries (i don't know that one...but she has made one up! awesome) more all done cereal cracker car airplane ball music balloon (kind of her own version of balloon...) bubbles phone dad hot cold i think that's most of them...how many is that...33! dang she is smart. we are so proud of her! our little smarty pants!
