you know what is so great? people...well, some people anyway! people's kindness and generosity has been overwhelming the past few months. with all of the baby preparation we have received several gifts or people have let us borrow such wonderful items. saving us a ton of monies! it's nice to know that even during hard times...and who isn't experiencing them right now, people's love and support grows stronger.
for instance, our parent's and grandparent's have given such wonderful gifts and offered great support, steven's boss gave us a baby swing, a close family friend is letting us borrow her bassinet for a few months to keep in our room, everyone at my shower went waaaay overboard (we got such great stuff!!) and i cannot believe how many hand me down girl clothes we have received. my good friend kelly let me look through her loot of girl clothes and misc. items a couple of months ago and last night our neighbor dropped off 6 bags of clothes - ages newborn to 2.

we know the day will come when madi will want to wear a bikini and we will say heck no. but this polka dot suit will fit her this summer. can you just imagine how cute this chubby little baby will be in this get up!!
more red shoes. i almost died when i pulled these out of the bag last night. both almost brand new. now, madi has 3 pairs of red shoes!

I just LOVE the little red shoes, although little shoes for tiny toes are adorable in any color, I must confess!
Everyone is so kind to you because you give it right back! You're a wonderful friend, and I'm so glad to have someone who's already "been there, done that" for helpful advice! That bathing suit is absolutely TOO MUCH!
