my mama's day

i looooove this pic. this is the second time i held her, but the first documentation. being able to look at her and talk to her at the same time was so great. i will never forget that moment and how absolutely FABULOUS it was. greatest moment to date. seriously...tear, tear.

you know it is a special day when you get to do the following:

get out of bed slowly. take a HOT...LOOOONG shower, which includes the shaving of the legs (a once in a while affair. have to admit though, this has nothing to do with having a kid. i'm just not a fan.) have breakfast delivered to you by your bebe and your hubby. nap. twice. and only have to bake a chocolate cake...all other meals are prepared for you. gotta love a day that celebrates...ME! (i'm not a fan of attention...i don't like the spotlight at all...but when it's attention from my kid...I'LL TAKE IT!!!!!) i won't go into too much detail about how i feel about being a mom, because i am a major mommy sap. to me, it is the greatest job there is. i am sure being a dad is just as great, but luckily, i get to be the mommy! it's a job i always wanted. a job i always knew i'd love. and i am so lucky to get to be co-workers with steven in this job. we're having such a great time. i can't say enough about what a special girl madi is. she is easy. happy. hilarious. and so, so sweet. if logan comes out to be the exact opposite, it's all good with us! 'cause we're getting our fill of sweetness from her. she gives the BEST open mouth sloppy kisses of all time. when she nuzzles her head into my neck i just melt. when she sings back to me it makes me smile. when she speed crawls right up to me because she wants to be held, i drop it all just to pick her up. i am so happy that she is such a happy kid. she is oh so easy to love. i have so many inspirational and loving moms that i get to learn from and look up to. i feel so lucky to have such a great group of women to share this experience with. so, cheers to me, the day after mother's day. a day i am thankful for every day.
