sometimes it pays to be a worry wort
i woke up this morning to a voicemail on my cell phone. it was a nurse from my OB's office. all she said was, please call.
great. something came back in my blood work or something.
i quickly clear my morning voice and call her back. apparently, my mother had called the doctor this morning! she just wanted to make sure that everyone was doing everything that could possibly be done for madi and i. she knew madi was fine, she was actually just wondering why they couldn't just give me something for my broken face. because of confidentiality reasons, they were unable to tell her anything. so, that was it...so my mom thought! that's when the nurse called me, without my mom knowing.
she asked if i could come it at 11:30 this morning, and i said of course. so, i called my mom. "hi mom...hehe, did you call my doctor this morning?" "what, how did you know that?" "haha, the nurse told on you!!"
so, my mom took me into the appointment...where we had much success!! she prescribed me the steroids used to treat the bells palsy! WOOHOOO! RELIEF! so, i take them for 9 days. should notice a difference within a few days. can i tell you how much better i felt the moment she gave me the prescription slip? it was like, sweeeeeet! it was starting to get hard to stay positive and stay focused on where my mind frame should be right now...of course i was having some selfish moments about my face...gets ya a little down in the dumps. so, immediately, i started to feel better, just knowing that something is being done to treat my paralyzed face!
we are on the road to recovery. the new antibiotic is starting to work wonders for my ear...i was able to sleep a little last night and even get a mini nap today!
sometimes it pays to be a worry wort :) thanks mom!
OOO - i am now only on moderate bed rest...yes!
